In Crimea, the house of a Mejlis member was demolished at the site of squatter
In the village of Morskoye near Sudak, a house built in Ukrainian times on the site of land squatting was demolished today. The incident received great resonance in the Ukrainian media as evidence of “repression”, since the building belongs to Rustem Useinov, a participant in the clashes near the Crimean parliament building on February 26, 2014, when Majlis militants disrupted the session and the decision to hold a referendum, and people died in the stampede.
Previously, a Russian court recognized that the land plot on which the “activist’s” house stands belongs to the municipality, and all buildings on it are subject to demolition. Today the building was dismantled in the presence of bailiffs. Security was provided by riot police.
Useinov himself became ill - his blood pressure and sugar rose, and an ambulance took him to the hospital. Useinov tried to challenge the court decision and argues that the demolition should not have been carried out until the appeal was completed.
