As reported by "Izvestia" in the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the department “invites experts in the field of tourism business, tour operators, and entrepreneurs to work on the project.”
In the near future, it is planned to conduct a comprehensive study of the state of cultural objects and institutions of the peninsula. As a result, a concept of involving them in tourism will emerge. Cultural and educational routes will also be analyzed: existing ones will be corrected if shortcomings are identified, and the option of developing new routes is also being considered.
The company that wins the tender will be tasked with developing and installing visual navigation for approximately 3 thousand cultural, architectural and natural attractions of Crimea in accordance with GOST standards. The state procurement tender documentation notes that it is “through the formation of a unified information space for tourists” that it will be possible to most actively involve objects of historical and cultural heritage into tourism circulation.
The Ministry of Culture found it difficult to answer by what year it would be possible to form a single cultural space of the Republic of Crimea, but emphasized that “of course, we are talking about a long-term project. It’s important to start work as soon as possible.”
