In Crimea, a construction company is dealing with workers who slaughtered sheep in front of local residents
In Crimea, the construction company Monolit promised to conduct an investigation into the visiting workers who slaughtered sheep at the site of the Academy complex being built, causing indignation among residents of adjacent houses.
Eyewitnesses published pictures, claiming that this happens at the construction site “from time to time.” “They bring sheep, slaughter them there and cook them over the fire. And all this under the windows of nearby houses,” the author of the photographs wrote on social networks.
Local animal rights activist Maria Poddubnaya called on the Simferopol authorities to initiate criminal proceedings against migrant workers.
“What kind of cave age is this? Why do visitors wipe their feet on our laws? If the slaughter of an animal occurs in public view, this is already Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Cruelty to Animals,” says Poddubnaya.
Monolit representative Oksana Afanasyeva stated that the workers had already been dealt with:
“Thank you everyone for your attention to this situation. This morning, an investigation into this incident has already been carried out in Monolit, those responsible have been identified, and measures have been taken to prevent similar situations in the future. I’m sure this won’t happen again,” she answered the indignant Simferopol residents.
Thank you!
