“Due to the interruption of several optical connections by third parties, there was a complete shutdown of the operator’s base stations in Crimea. Throughout the weekend, the Life technical team did everything possible to restore the functioning of the network, despite the difficulties in accessing the rupture sites. At the moment, the Life operator has managed to resume operation of over 20% of base stations thanks to the use of alternative solutions,” the statement says.
The operator intends to fully restore the operation of its Crimean network, “if external circumstances do not interfere with this.”
Let us remember that Life was popular among Crimeans and Sevastopol residents primarily because of its pricing policy. So, immediately after its operation is restored, calling, for example, landlines in Moscow or the neighboring Caucasus is cheaper and more convenient from the handset of the last Ukrainian operator expelled from Crimea.
