Three-year-old Ablyakim from the village of Sinekamenka, Belogorsk district, got lost in the forest on Saturday. He was found almost a day later. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Guard were involved in the search for the child; a quadcopter and an unmanned aerial vehicle were used.
“They called and wrote from all over the world. Crimean Tatars, Uzbeks, Slavs, Chechens, Dagestanis and many other empathetic people... Nobody remembered politics that night. Everyone remembered the common misfortune,” said Simferopol resident Niyara Beit.
However, the Avdet newspaper, loyal to the Mejlis, which describes the incident, especially emphasizes the role of the Crimean Tatar volunteers who came from nearby villages. Security officials estimate the number of volunteers at 340 people.
The lost child was not injured, doctors say only slight hypothermia.
