There are already 7 coronavirus cases in Crimea
6 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the Republic of Crimea, reported the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov.
“It has been established that all the sick people are residents of the republic who returned from countries unfavorable for coronavirus. At the same time, 4 sick people are members of the same family, which was on a tourist cruise in the UAE, and also traveled on a cruise ship. Another 2 cases are also imported; the patients arrived in the republic after visiting Lithuania and Belgium.
All sick diagnoses were confirmed by laboratory tests in accordance with the established procedure. All patients were hospitalized in infectious diseases departments of medical organizations of the Republic of Crimea, all are in separate boxes.
4 infected people have an asymptomatic course of the disease, which was detected by laboratory testing. Two patients have a condition of moderate severity. Patients receive the necessary treatment in accordance with the current protocol of the Ministry of Health.
The circle of contact persons has been determined. Persons from among close contacts are hospitalized in infectious diseases departments, persons from among distant contacts are under medical supervision at their place of residence in isolation. A laboratory examination of these individuals has been organized,” the press service quotes Aksenov as saying.
“I appeal to citizens returning from trips abroad: you need to observe a strict regime of self-isolation at home, report yourself to the clinic at your place of residence by phone or on any of the hotline numbers that operate in the ministries and departments of the republic.
All citizens, and especially those at risk (elderly, people with chronic diseases), should minimize their visits to public places and observe the rules of personal hygiene. If you feel worse, stay home and seek medical help.
I recommend that everyone refrain from traveling to foreign countries and other regions with unfavorable epidemiological conditions, unless this is vitally necessary,” the head of the republic urged.
