According to dispensary employees, on Wednesday the children were given salad for dinner in the cafeteria. After eating the food, five children showed signs of food poisoning - nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Three three-year-old children, one nine-year-old and one fifteen-year-old felt unwell. One of them was sent to the Simferopol hospital named after Titov.
As employees noted, for several months now a private company has been importing low-quality products to the hospital’s food department. Food poisoning has been recorded before, but in adult hospital patients.
According to the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Crimea, "the prosecutor's office of the Simferopol region has organized an investigation into the poisoning."
The supervisory agency, with the involvement of specialists from the Ministry of Health, checks compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation in the tuberculosis dispensary. In particular, the accompanying documents for food products supplied to the medical institution, the storage conditions of the products, as well as compliance with the technological process of food preparation are studied.
