In Crimea, restrictive Covid measures introduced on the eve of non-working days due to the coronavirus epidemic have been relaxed.

Thus, according to changes to the Decree of the head of the republic on the introduction of a high-alert regime, now in order to visit government bodies - the MFC, the registry office, and so on, you do not need to provide a QR code or a vaccination certificate, as was previously required, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The changes concern the provision of state and municipal services. You are allowed to enter the MFC without a QR code or vaccination certificate, enter the registry office and all institutions that provide public services. The document says that the paragraph that implied a ban on visiting institutions and organizations providing these services without a QR code has become invalid,” Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya told reporters.

Interestingly, the requirement to present a QR code, vaccination certificate or valid PCR test in the republic was in effect for only a week. Such a quick change of decisions bewilders Crimeans, emphasized political scientist Sergei Kiselev.

“All restrictive measures must be introduced by people who are professionals in this field. In this case, these are virologists, epidemiologists and representatives of medical science in general. Everything else is from the evil one. I don’t understand why, being in sixth or seventh place in Russia in terms of the number of infections, we have such restrictive measures,” said the political scientist.

“It would be nice for sanitary doctors to comment on such things - we have the chief sanitary doctor of the republic, he could explain from a professional point of view how effective all this is. Why is this introduced at some point and canceled at another? From the outside it looks inconsistent, at least...

What we are so perplexed about is the omission of information policy, which should be built around explaining to citizens the actions that the authorities are taking. In this case – republican power. Then the questions that arise would disappear, or we could discuss explanations rather than speculate,” agreed another Crimean political scientist, Andrei Nikiforov.

Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the authorities of Sevastopol decided to remove the roadblocks at the entrance to the city, which were displayed on the eve of long non-working days.
