This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea - Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications Dmitry Polonsky.
“Currently, residents of Crimea can without restrictions call any emergency service from their mobile phone at numbers 101, 102, 103 or 010, 020, 030. The unified dispatch telephone number 112 also works,” the official is quoted as saying "Kryminform".
According to him, the work of emergency services was fully restored at 15.30.
The ability to call emergency services from cell phones disappeared after the events of last night in the Crimean office of PJSC Ukrtelecom, when, according to the company, it was seized by unknown armed people.
“Today, 10.02.2015/00.00/XNUMX,” says a statement from Ukrtelecom, published on the company’s official website, “at about XNUMX (Kyiv time), remote monitoring tools for the network of PJSC Ukrtelecom, with an interval of five minutes, recorded a physical disconnection of the fiber-optic backbone cable in two directions at once, which connect the mainland of Ukraine with Crimea. Damage was recorded at a distance that corresponds to the nearest reinforcement point in Crimea. Thus, we can say that the cable disconnection occurred on the territory of the peninsula. This fact indicates a deliberate disconnection of fiber-optic lines in the territory of Crimea in order to disconnect the network of the Crimean branch of PJSC Ukrtelecom from the public telecommunications network of Ukraine.”
The company claims that its employees were blocked from accessing all office and technological premises of the Crimean office.
