In Crimea, separate benefits will be introduced for those who lost their ability to work during a special operation
In Crimea, they are going to introduce benefits for utility bills and financial assistance to volunteers who took part in a special military operation in Ukraine and became disabled due to injury.
The number of beneficiaries is also proposed to include employees of security and law enforcement agencies who have become disabled after working in combat areas, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Support measures at the legislative level must be enshrined in the law “On measures of social support for certain categories of citizens and persons living in the territory of the Republic of Crimea.” The Krasnogvardeisky district took the initiative, proposing to expand the list of beneficiaries and recipients of material assistance to those who fought in the Donbass or the territories of the former USSR, were injured and cannot continue to work.
It is also proposed to include family members of the deceased as beneficiaries if they live in Crimea. It is planned to provide a one-time payment to disabled persons due to injury, widows of military personnel and volunteers, as well as their parents, and a monthly allowance to children until they reach their 18th birthday.
The procedure for calculating and the amount of financial assistance, if the bill is adopted, will be determined by the Council of Ministers of Crimea.
