According to operatives, the detainee was recruited by Ukrainian special services.

“A citizen of Ukraine born in 1978, recruited by the SBU, was detained, from whom three high-explosive explosive devices, instructions for their use and a diagram of the location of power line supports in one of the regions of Crimea were seized,” the message says.

If the sabotage had been successful, according to energy experts, more than five thousand consumers, as well as social infrastructure facilities, would have been left without electricity.
