Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Aksenov detained for bribery
The Investigative Committee detained the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea, who is suspected of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A former high-ranking official received a large sum of money for lobbying for a construction company.

“According to the investigation, from August to December 2016, the suspect received through an intermediary part of the previously agreed bribe amount in the amount of 27 million rubles for facilitating, by virtue of his official position, the choice of one of the construction companies as the only supplier when concluding a contract for the construction of housing in Crimea , as well as general patronage of the company in its performance of this municipal contract,” the statement says.
