A man who called for the murder of State Duma deputies was detained in Crimea
FSB officers in Crimea detained a resident of Bakhchisarai who called for the murder of deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the department’s Public Relations Center, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The 41-year-old local resident posted his calls for terrorist activities on the VKontakte social network.
“It was established that a 41-year-old man, holding radical views, posted materials on his personal page on the social network VKontakte calling for the murder of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
In April 2022, the investigative department of the FSB opened a criminal case against this person under Part 2 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism committed using the media or electronic or information and communication networks, including the Internet).
The maximum penalty provided for under this article is 7 years in prison,” the statement says.
