Another contact case of coronavirus infection has been registered in Crimea. In total, there are 16 confirmed patients with the new infection in the republic, 14 of them brought it from other countries, and two are “contact” infected people.

The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, announced this at a meeting of the headquarters for combating coronavirus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the Republic of Crimea, a second local case of coronavirus infection has been confirmed – this is a household contact. Thus, 16 cases have been registered for the current period. 14 of them are imported, two cases are local, from the same family,” Aksenov said.

There are still five people infected with the new strain of coronavirus in Sevastopol. Thus, 21 cases of infection have been confirmed on the entire peninsula.
