All cemeteries in Crimea are closed for the quarantine period
In Crimea, all cemeteries are closed to visitors during the strict self-isolation regime.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, Natalya Penkovskaya, made a corresponding request to the head of the republic: “I am forced to make a request to include in the protocol the closure of visits to cemeteries.”
Aksenov supported the idea and called on Crimeans to stay home for Easter: “Okay. We are looking at this period and Moscow, in this case, has made such a decision, all the constituent entities have made such decisions. We ask Crimeans to treat this situation with understanding.
At the same time, we see that the appeals of our Holiness Patriarch Kirill regarding the fact that even on Easter itself, all believers are asked to perform services and rituals at home. Therefore, if all our traditional confessions already support this regime, colleagues, I ask that the Crimeans, including the Crimeans, be understanding.”
