Simferopol, April 02 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The transition period for media registration has ended in the Crimean Federal District.

By the beginning of April, 232 Crimean media outlets were registered, including 8 online publications, 19 television channels, 42 radio channels, 163 print publications and news agencies.

“Out of this number, 207 media outlets had permits issued in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and underwent re-registration. Another 25 registered media are Russian media that entered the peninsula’s media market for the first time (one online publication, two television channels, 8 radio channels and 14 print publications and news agencies),” the statement says.

Registration of media in Crimea now continues in accordance with the general procedure provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
