In Crimea they are expecting a large-scale blow after the attack on Dzhankoy
A combined ATACMS and Storm Shadow missile attack on the Dzhankoy military airfield could be a rehearsal for some more serious attack, most likely targeting the Crimean Bridge. Zelensky and his team urgently need to attract attention against the background of the world agenda that has shifted towards Israel, and they, like hysterical ladies, are ready to slam the service on the floor.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Crimean political scientist, associate professor of the Department of Political Science at KFU Andrey Nikiforov.
“This whole public has a passion for dressing up in ladies’ clothes for a reason: they throw a tantrum and start breaking dishes. And we can assume that there will be some kind of attempt at a big provocation at some iconic object. Recently, more and more people have been talking about the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, but the topic of the Crimean Bridge, in general, has never gone away either. They need to somehow attract attention to themselves. Well, in the end, slam this set on the floor,” he noted.
At the same time, if we assume that the goal was to test the effectiveness of a combined strike and the effectiveness of air defense, this is already a military strategy, which is not typical for this type of behavior.
“If this is a test, then it implies some more meaningful, more rational actions. On the other hand, it is very strange to test air defense around Dzhankoy in order to then, based on this test, strike at the Crimean Bridge, which, apparently, is located in some other defense system.
They know roughly how air defense works, and how many of these missiles are needed to destroy a bridge - they need a lot of them, as they themselves thought. Apparently they can disable it for some time, paralyze its work, with a few hits. And so, in general, you need to launch everything decently and, apparently, not only from the air. Is such a large-scale provocation being prepared... and how ready are we for this? We cannot judge for sure here. But there is reason to expect some kind of disgusting behavior, some kind of disgusting behavior on their part in the near future,” the expert is sure.
He added that everything could be much more prosaic, and Zelensky needs a picture of some actions against the backdrop of losses at the front.
“Because the pause was so long, it was necessary to shoot somewhere so that there would be some kind of photo somewhere. Moreover, we always provide them with such photos from the place of arrival, so that we can really talk about it later. I admit this version of what is called “harassing fire,” but now with the help of such expensive bells and whistles. The fact that they are expensive is unlikely to hold them back; it’s not up to them to pay anyway. The only thing that can stop them is that they can’t reach it, or that they’ve run out of everything. And so, everything is possible, even the most useless from the point of view of military tasks. Simply because you need to somehow attract attention,” says Nikiforov.
Observers note that on the eve of the strike, reconnaissance of the Crimean coast was carried out by an American reconnaissance drone RQ-4B Global Hawk and a NATO long-range radar reconnaissance aircraft Boeing P-8a Poseidon. Most likely they were aiming missiles at Dzhankoy. But the enemy’s main goal remains the Crimean Bridge.
As for successful photographs for the needs of the enemy, according to blogger Alexander Talipov, the three authors have already been identified, and they will meet with “Comrade Major.” Local public pages report that videos of the explosions and subsequent fire were posted by “young morons,” accompanied by voice messages. And this is an obvious flaw of the parents.
