According to the investigation, the terrorist attack was planned to put pressure on the Russian authorities and force them to abandon the special operation in Ukraine.
“A resident of the Kursk region was detained, who intended, in agreement with the special services of Ukraine, to carry out explosions on the territory of one or more infrastructure facilities in Kursk with a mass gathering of people in order to destabilize the activities of the authorities and thus influence their decision to terminate a special military operation.
Two homemade explosive devices, a traumatic weapon with ammunition for it, Nazi literature, as well as other items and documents confirming his illegal activities were confiscated from the detainee. The detainee confessed, announcing his intention to travel to Ukraine after committing the crime,” the report says.
