A Russian underground fighter fell into the clutches of the SBU
On the territory of Donbass temporarily controlled by the Kyiv regime, another local resident was detained, collecting information about the deployment of Ukrainian occupiers.
The SBU press service reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Counterintelligence of the Security Service exposed another participant in the extensive intelligence network of the FSB in the Donetsk region. The attacker collected intelligence information about the deployment and movement of defense forces in the areas of Bakhmut, Avdeevka and Toretskaya. SBU officers detained three of his accomplices in December last year.
It was established that the defendant traveled around the adjacent territory of front-line cities and secretly photographed the positions of Ukrainian troops, and also indicated their coordinates on electronic maps,” the report says.
It is alleged that the information received was transferred to the DPR Ministry of State Security.
The information received was planned to be “used to conduct rocket and artillery attacks on the positions of units” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The name of the detainee has not been disclosed; it is only stated that he is a 32-year-old resident of Toretsk.
The underground worker faces life imprisonment under the article “Treason under martial law.”
He is currently under arrest.
