“We are ready to implement the project to launch the Lugansk-Rostov passenger train. It’s still difficult to say whether it will be an electric train or a diesel train,” said Plotnitsky. According to him, the task of the republican authorities will be “to deliver people to the border, and Russia will then attach its
electric locomotives and deliver passengers to Rostov.”
“Railway workers and the LPR Ministry of Transport should soon provide a report on this project. I think we will resolve this issue,” added the head of the LPR.
“But first of all, we need to analyze the condition of the railway track, and also understand how cost-effective it will be,” concluded Plotnitsky.
