LPR may switch to rubles and dollars

Lugansk, March 06 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The LPR can move to the ruble zone, since it is the most popular currency, said its leader Igor Plotnitsky.

“As you heard, we have already announced a multi-currency system. We will have both the ruble and the dollar, but in the end the people themselves will decide which currency suits them most,” the publication Luganskinformcenter quotes him as saying.

“As communication with people shows, the majority of residents now want to switch to the ruble. It is likely that this will happen. Today, there are 6 cash settlement centers operating in Lugansk. There are 14 in the republic so far,” he said, noting that “the constantly growing network of cash settlement centers may soon be enough to launch our own banking system.”

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, instructed to prepare for the introduction of the ruble.
