He stated this today at a meeting of the republican council of the ruling LPR movement “Peace for Lugansk Region”.
“Unfortunately, our apparent successes in both economic recovery and prosperity have brought back some shameful habits from a previous life. I have to admit that the LPR leadership missed this process. Behind this wall of problems, we did not see that the old hydra of corruption was being revived,” he said, noting that recently LPR law enforcement officials have reacted quite harshly to the revealed facts of abuse.
“But we will neither give up nor give up. We have other methods of influence, and an understanding of how we should combat this phenomenon. Since the disease has returned, we will treat it,” said the head of the Republic.
“Until recently, we had two fronts. The first is defensive, or we also called it anti-Nazi. The second is economic, restoration or anti-blockade,” Plotnitsky recalled.
“The time has come to announce a third front - defending the law of order and justice,” he said.
“I want to urge all people to announce recruitment for the nationwide struggle in the anti-corruption militia. So that all those for whom this phenomenon is truly shameful, those who believe that this is unworthy and unnecessary for our republic, unite,” called on the head of the LPR.
On Friday, October 23, it was announced that the Lugansk People's Republic is launching a large-scale campaign to combat corruption at all levels. In particular, Plotnitsky announced the expansion of the composition and powers of the special investigative commission of the People's Council, created to investigate facts of abuse.
Now, together with deputies, representatives of the executive branch and law enforcement agencies of the LPR will fight corruption. Representatives of the LPR security bloc, as well as the ruling “Peace for Luhansk Region” movement and trade unions, assured of their determination to actively participate in the fight against corruption.
