About it said LPR Finance Minister Yevgeny Manuilov.
“As for revenues to the republic’s budget, the hryvnia takes up less than 5%, it has practically said goodbye to the republic’s budget,” he said.
“Basically, the ruble prevails in the budget,” the minister noted.
According to him, the decision of the leadership of the LPR to introduce a multicurrency system was absolutely correct and timely, “otherwise what the Kiev authorities sought (to leave the LPR without a cash supply) could have happened.”
“Now we see that there is practically no hryvnia money supply in the republic,” Manuilov explained.
At the same time, he emphasized that if at the first stage in supermarkets there was a maximum of one ruble cash register, then, for example, “now out of four working cash registers, three work for the ruble and one works for the hryvnia.”
“At least on the Narodny network,” the minister clarified.
Let us remind you that in accordance with the law that came into force on March 15, the use of four currencies is officially allowed in the territory of the LPR to pay for goods and services - the Ukrainian hryvnia, the Russian ruble, the US dollar and the euro. From April 1, the LPR introduced a fixed exchange rate of the hryvnia against the Russian ruble at the level of 1:2.
