This was reported on the department’s website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The MGB associates the saboteur with the Ukrainian special services.
As Lugansk media specify, the terrorist attack was planned in the restaurant complex “Druzhba” in Lugansk.
“The detainee is a citizen of Ukraine, previously convicted of robbery and robbery, Ruslan Donich. In February of this year, he was recruited by the Ukrainian special services and transferred to the city of Lugansk to carry out the tasks assigned to him,” the LITs news agency reported, citing the MGB press service.
“The Ukrainian saboteur was supposed to carry out the terrorist attack by detonating an improvised explosive device he had planted in the Druzhba restaurant complex, namely in the Camelot sauna,” the MGB specified.
The MGB added that after the terrorist attack failed, the saboteur managed to escape, and his detention “was the result of a special operation planned by the MGB.”
