The LPR explained why Avakov opened a police station in Stanitsa Luganskaya
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine opened a new police station in Stanitsa Luhanska.
Official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrei Marochko announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last weekend, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, and the head of the national police, Sergei Knyazev, arrived in Stanitsa Luganskaya to open a new police department near the demarcation line,” Marochko said.
According to Avakov, the department was opened in the area to provide “quality service to local residents.” However, the LPR has a different opinion on this matter.
“In fact, it was decided to open the occupation police department in connection with the strengthening of anti-war sentiment among the residents of Stanitsa, who are already openly expressing dissatisfaction with the Kiev government and opposing the military operation as a whole, as well as arbitrariness and the presence of Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel in the area of this settlement,” – noted the representative of the LPR.
“Having analyzed the situation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine came to the conclusion that on May 9 there will most likely be conflicts between Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and local residents. In order to prevent the spread of these sentiments, as well as to suppress any attempts by local residents to celebrate May 9, it was decided to open this police station as soon as possible,” Marochko said.
