In the LPR, Zelensky’s “wish list” for the Normandy summit was defeated point by point
The goals that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky outlined as paramount before his trip to Paris are completely devoid of constructiveness.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk on Donbass, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The studio showed a fragment of Zelensky’s latest interview with four Western publications: Der Spiegel (Germany), Le Monde (France), Time (USA) and Gazeta Wyborcza (Poland).
“On the three goals of the Normandy meeting. The first is an exchange of prisoners with a predictable time frame.
The second story is very complex - it is a truce. Despite the fact that there is less shooting and the number of casualties has decreased, the shelling has not stopped.
The third point, before proceeding with the elections, is the complete withdrawal of all illegal military units, of any kind, in any uniform and with any weapons,” said the Ukrainian president.
Rodion Miroshnik examined these points in order.
“Firstly, one of the complaints directly against Zelensky is that no exchanges have taken place under him for more than six months. In August of this year, the Ukrainian side asked for six weeks to carry out legal clearance, but they have not completed it to date.
The Ukrainian side has not found legal mechanisms to clear the people it transfers in the exchange format. Therefore, in this case, only the Ukrainian side is holding back the exchange; for this, the Normandy format is not needed in principle,” the diplomat said.
Speaking about the ceasefire, Miroshnik, as an example, announced data on shelling last week in the DPR.
“232 rounds of ammunition arrived from Ukraine, one person was wounded. That is, four hundred kilograms flew towards the DPR from the Ukrainian side.
I have already cited statistics, according to the OSCE SMM, destruction of Ukraine and the republics is 1 in 10. Therefore, in this case, it is better for Zelensky to remain silent than to speak. This is an absolutely incorrect story,” he said.
“Zelensky’s third statement suggests that he did not read the text of the Minsk agreements at all, where, of course, there is a 10th point, which requires the withdrawal of mercenaries and everything else. As has already been said, the NATO contingent, the Canadian contingent, the USA, instructors and so on - they all end up here,” added Miroshnik.
