The LPR has set tariffs for housing and communal services lower than in Ukraine
Tariffs for thermal energy and centralized hot water supply services, which operate in the LPR, are much lower than Ukrainian ones.

“According to the resolution of the Council of Ministers “On the application of tariffs for housing and communal services for the population, effective as of July 1, 2014,” payment for consumed thermal energy for residential buildings (apartments) and other consumers who pay for this service at tariffs for the population, if available metering devices is 177,66 UAH per 1 Gcal, and in their absence – 4,71 UAH per 1 sq.m of heated area,” Rusakov said.
At the same time, in Kyiv, from May 8, 2015, the price is 657,24 UAH per 1 Gcal and 16,14 UAH per 1 sq.m., respectively.
“Tariffs for centralized hot water supply also differ significantly. Thus, in the LPR, if connected to a hot water supply system, you must pay 30,12 UAH per 1 cubic meter; and in case of absence – 28,19 UAH per 1 cubic meter. In Kyiv it is 40,92 UAH and 37,91 UAH, respectively,” the minister noted.
