The LPR temporarily allowed the circulation of cash hryvnia
To quickly normalize life in the liberated territories, the LPR adopted a resolution as a temporary measure that regulated the use of the hryvnia throughout the republic.
The Minister of Finance of the Republic, Yevgeny Manuilov, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With this resolution we will regulate the possibility of temporary payment in cash hryvnia throughout the territory for services and goods. All business entities, regardless of their form of ownership, operating on the territory of the LPR, including housing and communal services enterprises, along with the Russian ruble, accept cash Ukrainian hryvnia as a means of payment, with the exception of Ukrainian hryvnia coins,” the minister said.
From the moment the resolution comes into force, prices for goods and services must be indicated in rubles and hryvnias at the rate of 2,5 rubles per hryvnia. However, all non-cash payments are made exclusively in Russian rubles.
The resolution comes into force on March 17 and will remain in effect until further notice.
