In the top thousand of world universities, the first Ukrainian university is at the end of the fourth hundred
Only six Ukrainian universities are included in the ranking of the 1000 best universities in the world according to The QS World University Rankings, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In particular, Kharkov University named after Karazin (last year - at positions 481-401).
Position 531-540 is occupied by Kiev National University. Shevchenko (in 2018 - 411-420 position).
National Technical University "Kiev Polytechnic Institute named after. Sikorsky" took the position 601-650 (in 2018 - 501-550 position).
National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" - 701-750 position (in 2018 also 701-750 position).
This year, the Lviv Polytechnic National University entered the ranking, sharing 751-800 positions with Sumy State University. Last year, Sumy State University took 801-1000 position.
Donetsk National University is not included in the current ranking. Vasily Stus, who in 2018 occupied positions 801-1000.
The top ten universities included the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Stanford University (USA), Harvard University (USA), California University of Technology (USA), Oxford University (UK), Cambridge University (UK), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Imperial College London, University of Chicago, UCL (UK).
The ranking of the best universities in the world (QS World University Rankings) is a global study based on the methods of the British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
The ranking evaluates universities based on the following indicators: reputation in the academic environment, citation of scientific publications by university representatives, ratio of teachers to students, ratio of employers to graduates, relative number of foreign teachers and students.
