According to journalists, three explosive packages exploded, but there were no casualties. At the same time, the police defused a grenade that a terrorist had thrown from a bus towards law enforcement officers during the day and which did not detonate.
It is also reported that the building of the National Police of the Volyn region, where the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov is holding a meeting, was fired upon from firearms.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk said in his blog that the criminal is probably an anarchist fanatic, and not mentally ill. His words were partly confirmed by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
“At a briefing in Lutsk, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov just said that the terrorist who seized a bus with hostages in the city center was never treated in a psychiatric hospital. This confirms what I wrote earlier about the fanatic leftist anarchist,” the message notes.
Let us remind you that the terrorist who seized the bus has been holding hostages for several hours. He did not allow water to be handed over to the passengers and refused to release the pregnant woman and teenager.
