Russian songs were banned in Lutsk as a source of “pro-Russian propaganda”
The Executive Committee of the Lutsk City Council banned the public sound of some foreign performers in Lutsk, who, according to the SBU, carry pro-Russian propaganda in their works. The decision of the executive committee will be monitored through the hotline of the Lutsk City Council.

Bogdan Klimchuk, a member of the executive committee of the Lutsk Council and the author of the draft decision, spoke about this.
According to the decision of the executive committee of the Lutsk city council, cultural institutions, restaurants, clubs, karaoke, enterprises and entrepreneurs transporting passengers in Lutsk are obliged to stop public performances of works by individual artists.
In total, the following performers have now been banned from eating and transport establishments: Oleg Gazmanov; Joseph Kobzon; Valeria Perfilova; Joseph Prigogine; Sergei Bezrukov; Mikhail Boyarsky; Nikolai Rastorguev; Ivan Okhlobystin; Mikhail Porechenkov; Grigory Leps and Gerard Depardieu.
“This is not a ban on Russian songs... There is a letter from the SBU to the Ministry of Culture regarding the threat to national security. These performers are blacklisted by the Ministry of Culture on the recommendation of the Security Service of Ukraine, as performers whose work contributes to anti-Ukrainian tendencies. This is a banal replacement of propaganda,” Klimchuk noted.
According to a member of the executive committee, there is also a mechanism for monitoring the implementation of this decision.
“Control goes as follows, through the hotline directly of the city council. If violations in public transport are carried out systematically, this will affect the renewal of contracts. Also, in public catering establishments, if they continue to do this, we can influence the operating hours,” the member of the city executive committee emphasized.
