“Today the inauguration of the country’s president took place in neighboring Ukraine. Ukrainians have made their choice, and they have to live with it. As for our Republic, we do not have diplomatic relations with Ukraine. We cannot officially comment on this event. We can only say that we are holding the line against the Ukrainian army. We have repeatedly stated and are saying again that any negotiations will be conducted only after the occupying forces leave our territory,” Bolotov said.
“As for negotiations with Kiev, I can say that let Ukraine talk with the people of our Republic, and not with bandits and terrorists, as they call us. If they believe that we are all terrorists here, then our people have nothing to talk to them about,” the LPR leader emphasized.
In his opinion, Petro Poroshenko will not come and will not want to go to Donbass while military operations are ongoing.
“There is currently not a single military unit on the territory of Lugansk that is subordinate to the Kyiv junta. As a result of clashes and airstrikes, there are losses on our side. In total, we lost 13 people killed, 10 of whom were civilians. About 20 civilians are wounded. There is a difficult tactical situation in the north of Lugansk, and in the area of the airport. We are ready to take the fight, but we believe that the situation will turn for the better for us,” Bolotov assured.
As Navigator reported, during the week military units were repeatedly stormed in Lugansk and its environs; the longest battle lasted for control of the Lugansk border detachment, which had been relocated.
