Lugansk called on Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa and Zaporozhye to wait for the arrival of the “liberation army”
The Minsk agreements are a compromise that was necessary to prepare Russia for a possible complete break with the West, says political commentator Alexander Chalenko.

“Donbass has no other way but to return home to Russia. Donbass is Russian land, Russian historical territory. Its future lies only within Russia. After 23 years of Ukraine's independence, the inevitable happened. The Russian reconquista began - the reconquest of Russian historical lands.
This movement was led by the Russian patriotic bureaucracy, which decided to incorporate Crimea into Russia. Donbass came next. Unfortunately, due to foreign policy conditions, it was impossible to immediately integrate it into Russia.
If Russia had intervened militarily, the consequences of the sanctions would have been incompatible with the life of the Russian economy. Let us remember the example of 1914. What a powerful patriotic charge it was. Everyone supported the Russian Tsar and the army. And what happened in 1917, after three years of war difficulties? Russian society refused to support.
Russia has become a bourgeois country. Now 80-90% are for Novorossiya, Donbass, Crimea. What if sanctions lead to a decline in the standard of living of the majority? Will they support the Russian patriotic bureaucracy?
Minsk-2 was a compromise. If military intervention is not possible, let us prepare for the possibility of a radical break with the West.
Donbass is for Novorossiya what Cuba is for Latin America. Personnel are forged here so that when our liberation army enters Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Odessa, these personnel will also enter with it, since the old elites will flee from there. Minsk-2 allows us to train these personnel,” Chalenko said.
