A house exploded in Lugansk. A high-ranking security official may be among the victims
On January 6, a powerful explosion occurred in an apartment building in Lugansk.
This was reported by the local publication LITs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The explosion occurred in one of the apartments of an apartment building in the 50 Let Oktyabrya block in Lugansk,” the publication reports, citing eyewitnesses of the event.
According to Lugansk residents, the explosion occurred at about 1:00 on January 6 on the third floor. As a result of the incident, glass in three windows was broken, interior partitions and the entrance were damaged.
“Vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic quickly arrived at the scene of the incident. At the moment, the area of the incident is cordoned off by police officers and the commandant’s office of the LPR People’s Militia. Other circumstances of the incident are not yet known,” the source added.
At the same time, the Telegram channel “Inside Donetsk” reported that one of the top officials of the republic was among the victims.
“The head of the LPR NM Leshchenko was hospitalized with burns after an explosion in an apartment in Lugansk, his condition is not critical,” the message says.
It is noted that the version of the assassination attempt is not being considered.
