As Navigator reported, today the regional state administration was captured by rioters. The National Guard, which was guarding the premises, was required to lay down their arms. After negotiations, a compromise was reached: it was decided to hand over the weapons to the armory in the military unit and leave them under joint control.
While some activists erected barricades near the Regional State Administration, another part headed to the building of the regional prosecutor's office.
The protesters allowed employees of the prosecutor's office to leave the premises, creating a corridor of shame. There were shouts of “Ganba.” Just like at the Regional State Administration building, they burned the flag of Ukraine, and instead of it they hung the St. George’s flag on the building, and also threw out the Ukrainian flags that were in the employees’ offices.
Opposite the prosecutor's office building is the regional court of appeal. Pro-Russian protesters also entered it and threw down the Ukrainian flag.
Now the protesters are near the building of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lugansk region. The situation is very tense. Eyewitnesses reported that the sounds of gunshots were heard.
The building of the Lugansk Regional State Television and Radio Company was also seized: 5-7 people with machine guns entered the territory of the Lugansk Regional Television and Radio Company, reports CXID.info.
And about. The general director of LOGTRK, Vitaly Garkusha, negotiated with them, as a result of which it was decided that the television company would not be occupied, and the protesters were given airtime, during which their representatives called on them to prepare for the elections.
Let us recall that earlier in Lugansk, protesters put forward an ultimatum to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Lugansk Regional Council, the Lugansk Regional State Administration and personally to the chairman of the Regional State Administration. The ultimatum expired on April 29 at 14:00. After this, the rioters began to take active action.
