“The National Human Rights Center reports that on the territory of the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center in Kyiv on the night of May XNUMX, a major fire occurred in a building for juvenile prisoners. As you can see from the video, the roof of the building for minors is all engulfed in flames,” the message says.
In several videos from the fire site, prisoners can be heard shouting “amnesty.”
Also, the press secretary of People's Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, Tatyana Protorchenko, reported on her Facebook page about the fire in the Luktyanovsky pre-trial detention center on Degtyarevskaya Street, 13.
In turn, the chairman of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine 2014 Sergei Starenky on his Facebook page reported that during the fire the building for minors, in which elite prisoners had recently been concentrated, was burned.
“They burned down the building for minors. This is where elite prisoners have recently been concentrated. And the cameras in this building were used as VIP cameras,” the report says.
He also noted that information about the victims and possible escapes is still being verified.
