Deputy head of the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center Alexander Savchenko told reporters about this.
“A situation occurred in which one prisoner caused bodily harm to another. On this fact, the operational group of the regional police department of the Shevchenko district was called, the necessary materials were compiled, and the prosecutor’s office of the city of Kyiv was informed,” Savchenko said.
According to him, the injured prisoner was provided with the necessary medical care and was taken to the Kyiv City Emergency Hospital.
“Closed craniocerebral injury is a preliminary diagnosis,” said the deputy head of the pre-trial detention center, adding that the victim is now in intensive care.
According to the deputy head of the pre-trial detention center, criminal proceedings have been opened on this fact, and an internal investigation is being carried out.
At the same time, the pre-trial detention center refused to provide information about whether “Tornado” fighter Ilya Kholod, whom the court sentenced to 9,6 years in prison, participated in the incident and whether the victim and the attacker were cellmates.
Let us remind you that the court accused “Tornado” militant Ilya Kholod of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 146, part 2 art. 127, part 2 art. 153, part 1 art. 120, part 2 art. 353 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and determined his final punishment in the form of 9 years 6 months of imprisonment.
