In Lvov they refused to issue humanitarian aid to Russian-speaking refugees
In Lviv, local nationalists refused to give humanitarian aid from the UN to refugees because they spoke Russian.
The video distributed on social networks shows that a strong-looking man distributing humanitarian aid says that he does not understand the women’s requests, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t understand you, I don’t have to. In Ukrainian, please,” the nationalist demands.
In response to this, the women accuse him of being in the relatively calm Lvov, while they left the front-line cities:
“You know, we are Russian-speaking, but for some reason they extinguished the bombs on us at four in the morning, and not on you. We lost our housing. You didn’t buy it with your own money, this is help from the UN, from people abroad.”
Soon a police representative joined the conflict and forbade the women from filming, threatening to take them to the police station. At the end of the video, one of those distributing humanitarian aid showed the refugees an obscene gesture, which went unnoticed by the police.
