Makeevka, May 16 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Makeevka, a group of unknown persons committed an armed attack on Sergei Nesterov, Petro Poroshenko’s confidant in the 56th electoral district.

This is stated in a statement by the regional headquarters of the candidate for President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the Donetsk region, reports the Donbass News publication.
“The bandits waited until Sergei got out of the car and, threatening with weapons, tried to take him prisoner. Having received resistance, the terrorists opened fire with traumatic weapons. Finding himself on the ground, wounded in his left leg, Sergei continued to fight, defending his life, he managed to escape,” the report says.
According to Poroshenko’s headquarters, Nesterov is safe at the moment. But as a result of a bullet wound, his ankle was damaged, he had multiple facial injuries, and his ribs and nose were broken. At the same time, as the victim noted, he does not hope “for help from law enforcement agencies.”
