Mariupol residents were left without Donetsk mayonnaise “Mak Mak”, “Norma”, dairy products “Hercules”, confectionery products “Luciano”, “Instal”, sausage products “Kolbiko” and “Shchiriy Kum”, as well as many other familiar products, the publication writes «0629» with reference to a private entrepreneur.
“Soon residents will celebrate the New Year holidays, and there will be a shortage of mayonnaise in the city,” the entrepreneur said. According to him, a similar problem arose in Mariupol on the 20th of November. Since then, Donetsk goods can only be brought into the city through roundabout routes. “I personally went to Donetsk to buy goods, they stopped me at the checkpoint at the entrance to Mariupol, and began to inspect the OBOP,” said the businessman. “They referred to some kind of resolution, allegedly this product does not have quality certificates.”
The businessman noted that at the moment in Mariupol there is no alternative to many products that are produced in the occupied territory. It takes time to find something to replace the same Mak Mak mayonnaise.
“I talked with manufacturers from Donetsk and Makeyevka, they say that the problem of importing goods exists only in the Mariupol direction, but products can be transported to Kharkov without problems,” the entrepreneur added.
As a representative of the National Guard noted, indeed, about 2 weeks ago, representatives of the Mariupol defense headquarters approached them with a demand not to allow food and coal from the territory temporarily controlled by the “DPR” and “LPR” into Mariupol. All this applies exclusively to wholesale supplies. It is also impossible to export goods from Mariupol to territory not controlled by Ukraine.
The headquarters of the city’s territorial defense explained that this ban is related to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which prohibits the import of goods produced in uncontrolled territory. “Entrepreneurs also contacted us, but we can’t do anything,” said headquarters representative Denis Gavrilov.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the DPR stated that Kyiv is trying to block the supply of medicines and food.
