Bandera propaganda was driven into Mariupol with special cynicism for all 8 years
From the first day of the occupation, the Kyiv leaders understood that sooner or later they would lose Mariupol, so it was in this city that they invested especially zealously and indoctrinated the population with Bandera propaganda, turning it into “canned food.”
Donetsk journalist Evgenia Martynova stated this on the Oplot TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It was not difficult to guess (what blood would result from the North Military District - ed.), because I was roughly aware of the situation, what was going on in Mariupol, what was going on in Marinka, what was going on in our northern direction, what kind of fortifications there were. What a complete Bandera thing in Mariupol - this is a complete ossification of the people, this is a complete expansion of Western, Western, whatever - what they turned the city into. What have they turned into, for a minute, a generation of youth, 8 years is a lot.
They don't know any better. In the village, children of primary school age have fun - they play slot machines, real ones. So, they get used to this from a young age, they lived with them, they absorbed it,” Martynova said.
In her opinion, in Kyiv they understood perfectly well that Ukraine could not hold the city.
“The entire propaganda machine of Ukraine was aimed exclusively at Mariupol. And I have the impression that people, local residents, were this “canned food” set aside, they were on the altar for all 8 years.
I don’t want to compare like that, but they were fed and fed like some kind of sacrificial animal, funding was there, lanterns were hung for the New Year, some kind of event was held for young people - they knew that they were doomed, that this would end.
This is the logic of the historical process, we had to take this Mariupol,” the journalist emphasized.
