“During the meeting of the Mariupol Defense headquarters, those responsible for the arrangement of fortifications in the defense sectors of Mariupol reported on the work done and voiced the questions. The head of the engineering service of the ATO Headquarters noted the coordinated work of the military and municipal services of the city in developing fortifications,” the Mariupol City Council reported.
At the same time, utility workers reported that there were cases recorded “when residents interfered with the construction of roadblocks, and also dismantled them without permission.”
“The chairmen of district administrations have been tasked with explaining to local residents the importance of these structures for the defense of the city,” the mayor’s office said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Kiev announced earlier that a triple defense ring would be created around Mariupol.
