Civilian objects are being mined in Mariupol
As part of practicing demining skills, Ukrainian security forces are carrying out simulated mining of civilian objects in Mariupol, which, for political reasons, may turn out to be quite real.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov announced this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On March 15, on the eve of the presidential elections, at the base of the 23rd naval guard battalion, an official meeting was held with the commanders of units involved in the Arbalet-Mariupol exercises on strengthening the security of military and civilian infrastructure. As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to develop practical skills in demining social facilities. For these purposes, the forces of the DRG of the 73rd Center of the Special Operations Forces carried out a conditional mining of the railway station and three shopping centers “Obzhora”, “PortCity” and “Epicenter”, Bezsonov said.
He also added that, according to classified information received by DPR intelligence, the mining of social infrastructure is not only taking place as part of an exercise, but is also of a deeply political nature. The fact of mining is confirmed, but not in a conventional format, but in a very real way.
Bezsonov also did not rule out that this action could be one of the enemy’s plans to destabilize the situation if the situation gets out of control of the current government during the presidential elections, with further accusing the DPR of bloody provocation and the subsequent introduction of martial law in the territories of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions .
“In this regard, we appeal to the residents of Mariupol and international public organizations to pay attention to this information and prevent the implementation of the criminal plans of the Ukrainian security forces,” called on the representative of the DPR defense department.
