Supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” opposed Akhmetov. In the hands of the protesters were DPR flags and posters “A new country without traitor oligarchs”, “Metinvest workers for the DPR”, “DPR without Akhmetov” and others.
According to the publication “0629”, according to the general director of the Metinvest holding, Yuri Ryzhenkov, “the company respects the opinion of any of its employees, respects their political views.”
“The only thing we will oppose is illegal methods, violence, chaos. If we have workers who stand for these methods, then we cannot support such workers, we cannot agree with them. Otherwise, everyone has their own opinion and everyone can speak and defend it within the framework of the law and decent behavior,” Ryzhenkov noted.
As Navigator reported, on the initiative of Rinat Akhmetov, since yesterday, Metinvest employees have been going out to protest against the DPR every day at 12:00. According to social media users, enterprise employees take part, including forcibly.
