According to the Mariupol defense headquarters, no reconnaissance flights of drones have been recorded over the past two days.
“Repair units of Operational Command North are carrying out measures to restore and put into operation 203 mm Pion self-propelled howitzers, which have been in long-term storage for more than 10 years. “Soon, these combat vehicles will join one of the mechanized brigades. The equipment has been practically updated, mechanics, drivers and combat crews are ready to carry out combat missions,” the headquarters says on its Facebook page.
“In order to strengthen control over the observance of law and order on the streets of the city and increase the level of discipline in the ranks of the armed forces of Ukraine, NSU, Border Guard Service and volunteer battalions, the special unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Falcon” is arriving in Mariupol. This will strengthen control over compliance with the law, both among city residents and among the military,” reads the Mariupol defense headquarters.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously residents of Mariupol on social networks repeatedly complained about drunken brawls of the military.
