City authorities want to submit to deputies the issue of conducting an examination of 9 private houses in the Vostochny microdistrict, which were completely destroyed as a result of a direct hit by shells on January 24, 2015.

This was announced by the head of the Ordzhonikidze district administration, Vladimir Stepanov, writes the publication “0629”.

In total, shells hit 13 residential buildings. At the same time, as it became known, the owners of 4 houses are asking the city to buy apartments, but most of the owners - 9 families - still hope that their houses will be restored.

“We will appeal to the session and deputies so that funds are allocated for the examination by a licensed organization. When it is carried out, as part of the criminal case, which was opened by the SBU on January 24, 2015, we will have information on how much money will be spent on restoring the houses,” Stepanov noted.

He emphasized that according to preliminary estimates, this will cost up to 15 million hryvnia. The city cannot allocate such an amount, so they plan to seek funding from the government.

In addition, residents of destroyed houses in the Ordzhonikidze district administration are offered to create a precedent and try to sue the state. At the same time, as the Mazur family shared with “0629,” they are not yet ready for such actions.

Previously, all restoration work was estimated at 105 million hryvnia. 10 have already been allocated for compensation to the families of the victims. 4 million will be spent on the restoration of multi-storey buildings.

As PolitNavigator reported, on the morning of January 24, Mariupol was shelled from Grad missiles. 30 people died.
