About this news agency QHA stated the head of the Central Election Commission of the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatars, Zair Smedlyaev.
“If they believe that the data is close to the truth, with the addition of the Tatars, then it turns out that significantly more than 10 of our people left Crimea,” he noted.
According to Smedlyaev, among the Crimean Tatars in 2013 there were only 180 voters - citizens of Ukraine.
“As a rule, they make up 2/3 of the total. And there were also citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and stateless persons... The census was carried out from the top, the result was released from above,” says the head of the Central Election Commission.
According to the published preliminary results of the population census in Crimea, the largest national group on the peninsula are Russians (1,49 million people, 68% of the population). In second place are Ukrainians (344,5 thousand people, 15,7% of the population). The third largest group is the Crimean Tatars (232,3 thousand people, 10,6% of the population). 45 thousand respondents (2%) called themselves simply Tatars.
