Not long ago, admirers of creativity, with the support of the Oles Buzina Foundation, independently installed a memorial plaque to the writer at the porch of the entrance where the publicist lived and was killed.
The next day, Ukrainian nationalists dismantled the board, explaining their actions by saying that the board had been installed unofficially.
At the same time, the vandals did not take into account the nationwide tradition of installing memorial plaques at the sites of accidents, tragedies or murders similar to what happened to the historian Buzina.
The Orthodox Brotherhood named after Sergius of Radonezh on Friday officially appealed to the Kyiv authorities with a request to allow the installation of a memorial plaque to Buzina.
The authorities must respond within 10 days.
