This information was confirmed to Ukrinform by the deputy commander of the Melitopol border detachment, Sergei Gulchak.
“During an inspection of the head of the train traveling from Simferopol to Donetsk, eight boxes of medicines were found, which contained sterile bandages, strong painkillers, including narcotic drugs. In a word, everything that is necessary when providing first aid to seriously wounded people,” the officer noted.
According to Gulchak, “this cargo, which was found despite careful disguise, aroused suspicion among border guards and law enforcement officers. Its purpose is too obvious.”
The border guards decided to confiscate the medicines and hand over the train manager to representatives of the SBU.
