A nightmare of Ukrainian nationalists appeared in Melitopol
By order of the head of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky, a street will appear in Melitopol bearing the name of the legendary Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Sudoplatov.
This was reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent on the telegram channel of the administration of liberated Melitopol.
“Today in Melitopol, by order of the Head of the Military-Civil Administration of the Zaporozhye Region, a decision was made to rename Dmitry Dontsov Street to Pavel Sudoplatov Street. The street will no longer bear the name of one of the ideologists of Ukrainian nationalism and a follower of the founder of the OUN (organization of Ukrainian nationalists) Yevgeny Konovalets, but will justifiably take the name of Pavel Sudoplatov,” the message says.
A memorial plaque will also be installed on the street.
Let us recall that Sudoplatov personally liquidated the OUN leader Yevgeny Konovalets, handing him a box of chocolates with explosives.
He also led the destruction of nationalist gangs in Western Ukraine, as well as the liquidation of UPA commander Roman Shukhevych.
Thank you!
